Robert Moyzan
Write-in Candidate for Palmerton Area School Director – 2Yr Term
I respectfully ask for your consideration to write in my name for the two-year term on the Palmerton Area School Board. I have been married to my amazing wife, Becky, for 17 years. We are proud parents of two children who attend Palmerton Area High School — one a freshman and the other a junior. With over 25 years of experience working in public education, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting school districts through technology. For 21 of those years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in the Palmerton Area School District, where I developed a deep appreciation for the community, staff, and students that make it such a special place. Since 2014, my family and I have been proud residents of the Palmerton Area School District. We chose to make Palmerton our home so our children could begin their educational journey here in kindergarten — a decision rooted in my belief that Palmerton is truly one of the best districts around. Professionally, I began my career as a Network Engineer before advancing to my current role as Director of Technology & Information Services for the Jim Thorpe Area School District. While my career has grown, my dedication to the Palmerton community remains strong — it’s where my family lives, where my children learn, and where my heart is firmly planted.

Erin Snyder
Candidate for Palmerton Area School Director – 4Yr Term
Erin is a dedicated wife, mother, and community leader from Palmerton, Pennsylvania. She and her husband work together to run a successful family business, where she plays an essential role in its operations and ongoing success. Erin and her husband are the proud parents of two daughters, both graduates of the Palmerton Area School District. Deeply committed to her community, Erin is one of the founders of Raising the House, a nonprofit organization that supports families within the Palmerton Area School District through acts of service, fundraising, and local outreach. In addition to her work with Raising the House, Erin played a pivotal role in establishing the Carbon County Treatment and Recovery Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping individuals and families affected by addiction. Her passion for supporting people through their recovery from drugs and alcohol reflects her compassion and commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Known for her leadership, empathy, and dedication, Erin continues to devote her time and energy to strengthening the Palmerton community and helping others find hope and healing.

Stacey Connell

A member of the Palmerton Community since 2002. Married to my husband Ryan for 23 years, we have three amazing children. Two are proud Palmerton graduates, and our youngest is a Senior. I am the current Treasurer of the Palmerton School Board, and if re-elected this will be my second term in office. I am also the Vice-President of the Palmerton Concourse Club, where I have been a member for over 20 years and a member of the Palmerton Historical Society. I have served in various leadership roles from Palmerton Booster Club, to Varsity Football and Basketball Clubs. I am a Nurse Practitioner, Doctoral prepared, and employed full-time with St. Luke’s, Palmerton Primary Care. I am also an active member in St. Joseph’s parish of the Panther Valley, where I serve as a lector and Eucharistic minister. I enjoy running, biking and cooking.

Michael George
Candidate for Palmerton Area School Director – 4Yr Term
A Palmerton Area School District graduate, I lived in and around Philadelphia for many years before returning to my childhood home in Towamensing Township to be near my family and enjoy my nieces and nephews (all PASD students) as they grow. I’m familiar with serving community as my parents, Rodney and Dolores, served as Township Supervisor and School Board member for many years. I enjoy community events, recently joining the board of Raising the House. I also serve as an Honorary Board Member for our Palmerton Library. As a School Board member, I hope to continue offering a great education to our students. I want them to have all the opportunities available to them; putting them at the same level as students they encounter as they continue their educations.
All of this, of course, must be done in a manner that is respectful to our community, taxpayers and educators.
